Hi

Luke is not a physio; he is a chiropractor.

I developed sciatica after lifting a heavy steel joist. I can only describe the resulting pain as 'exquisite'. Within a few days I was lying down for almost 24 hours per day. No sleep and losing weight dramatically. I really felt that I was about to 'pop my clogs'.

I visited a physio two or three times who did their best to treat the pain in my feet, legs, thigh and groin area. No joy.

I finally, upon recommendation, visited Luke Ramsay. Within 20 minutes he was able to diagnose a 'herniated disk' between L4 and L5 (whatever that was) and he commenced treatment immediately. Within 3 sessions he managed to pop the disc back in, which then eased pressure on the sciatic nerve and all the pain simply vanished over a very short period of time. The man is a bloody genius and has testimonials coming out of his ears.

He is not cheap. He charges 50 euros for each session (but I'm not sure if the initial consultation is free at the moment). You would need to ask him.

Look at my signature - Quality remains long after the price has been forgotten.

I have met Luke and his wife professionally and I too would recomend him. As he says if he cannt fix something he know of someone that can...

p.s. I would have thought 50 euros was very cheap even over here...

When I go back to the UK I sometimes visit my osteopath of many years standing, and they now charge more than twice as much as Luke! This is considered normal.

Please be very careful, especially here in Tenerife. There are several "osteopaths/chiropractics" that I am aware of, that possibly don't have adequate or appropriate training in manipulation. This kind of therapy can be so beneficial for many problems;

But in the hands of an unqualified person, it can be devastating to say the least.

I know that Luke is highly qualified, so am not referring to him, but just wanted to give a "heads up" to anyone seeking this kind of treatment. Please do your research first and ensure that your practitioner is professionally qualified to an acceptable standard.

To find out about a registered (UK) Chiropractic, I would suggest having a look here

To find out more about UK approved Osteopaths I would suggest this link

Sorry that I don't know the equivalent Spanish links, maybe someone can help here?

Don't let anyone "manipulate" you without first checking their credentials very carefully. After all if they are professionally qualified and registered, they should be only to pleased to give you their credentials to check.

Just a warning, please be very careful who you see. Check, check and check again, and then enjoy the great benefits you can get from both Chiropractic and Osteopathy.....
