I have heard that there is new speed sameras between Los Cris and Guaza, and have saw the speed camera signs, but has anyone seen them?
What do they look like? (Not that I ever go above the 120 of course!)
Have tried to look for them, but cannot see anything.

well, we tend to ignore sameras, but as for cameras, haven´t seen any yet myself at all. trafico though started to lauch helicopters to track down speeders on the motorways, but then again i don´t know if this applies to the canaries already. there has been a speed sign on the beginning of the motorway coming from adeje for years, but no camera at all
No but they do hide with radar guns now and again. I've seen them out and about and pulling people.

Yeah, I've seen them loads of times at the Cristianos / Arona turn off pulling people.
So are there no fixed speed cameras then? Is it all just mobile radar cameras?

However traffico have regular checkpoints at roundabouts and wave vehicles over based on some kind of intelligence. I always assumed there is a 'hidden' agente somewhere back down the road with a radio link. Maybe that's just my own paranoia..

I too have never seen GATSO'S in this part of the island but there seems to be an increase in the number of TRAFFICO patrols, pulling people over. Places to be wary on the road from Adeje to Los Gigantes are between Calleo Salvaje and Mar Azul, near a villa called "The Cactus House" and another near to Mar Azul iself, as well as where you enter Playa San Juan and close to Cabo Blanco. I've had several friends being caught recently.
