We're going to Los Cristanos and would like to know the names and locations of any German bars that serve German beers and authentic tapas bars in the the local area. eg Las Americas etc.

There are one or two German bars on the sea front in the stretch between Pueblo Canaria and Puerto Colon, as for tapas the little Spanish bars are best, the sea front ones in La Caleta are really good and also there is a good one on the sea front in Las Galletas.

Vera Tapas on the front at Porto Colon is really good - give it a try.

there are not so many german bars in los cris, i know of a few which actually closed down in the past few years due to several reaons. you can find "ina´s strandbar" on the las vistas beach under san telmo, they do some snacks as well. (german tapas do not exist) basically just look out for places where they announce "warsteiner" or pilsener beer. if you are prepared to get away a bit, go down to the costa del silencio,cos down there you will find much more german bars.

Tasca el Botijo in Costa del Silencio is one of the best tapas bars I know, it is owned and run by Thomas who is german
