Just an idea. I am now over 250 posts on here and I dont think I have been helpfull as such to too many people. I have asked a lot of questions and in return have got a lot of replies, so I'm hoping the replies to my questions were helpfull. My idea is an introduction to yourself with a few good buzz words that if a person is searching for certain info and type in say for instance websites, they will come accross Kirsty's introduction and maybe PM Kirsty and maybe she will help them and maybe it will help Kirsty. Our Mike with property for sale etc or Janet with relocation. (I think I have just done it anyhow).
My field is limited. I am involved with telecommunications cabling, telephone systems, any type of cabling, telephone jacks, computer cabling. Be it from one persons telephone cabling or 10,000 people moving into a building, thats what I do. Phone , Data, Co-ax etc So if anyone has a question on anything related to that , if I dont know I will find out.
Until I move toTenerife and know more about there ,this is my way of helping on the Forum. I might not be too busy but I'm sure some people will at somestage have a question.
Mods please feel free to place this anywhere, even dump it. Just thinking out loud really.

Well I'm the man to speak to when you need pro road bikes for hire in Tenerife. Or anything to do with bikes in the Canary Islands really.

Oh yeah - I forgot. I'm an ex-research scientist who specialised in the lonely field of Materials Science. I originally studied the chemical, physical (engineering) properties of many different materials, eg: ceramics, polymers, metals, composites, steel, concrete, etc; materials inspection, testing of material properties, failure analysis, differential thermal anaysis, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, statsistics analysis of data, interpretation of results, scientific report writing, ultimately leading to a few scientific research articles on naturally occurring colloidal hydrated amorphous silica!So really the investigation of materials in realm between the sub-atomic and the macroscopic, but especially at the molecular-microscopic scale.
I can give advice on doing nothing all day but playing golf and drinking Dorada in the sun, and fending off Groupies ................
