Hi All,

well its been raining continuosly in yorkshire now for 2 weeks, the river is flooded and we even had our central heating on last week!!!! role on tenerife 6th july!!

Anyway, on our return from tenerife last time we withdrew some money from our bank after having some left after our property purchase and we were given it in 500 euro notes!!!

I have recently been in to our local travel agent who refuses to exchange them back into pounds!! even if they are legal tendor

Am i going to have the same problem in tenerife or where is the best place to change them

you shouldn´t have any problem getting the notes broken down into smaller ones here in tenerife, basically any bank will do that. you might get the problem that shops won´t change them, but banks definitely will...( have you tried your bank back in the uk?)

We had no problem changing ours at our bank here in Tenerife, they were very helpful.

But before we changed them, lots of shops refused them unless you are paying for things that come to almost that amount, so definately worth changing them to smaller notes.

its just that the exchange rate is pants over here at the mo.
