| Just a quick update -
We have just returned from our trip to find a new home, although it was enjoyable it was also hard work.
After 5 days with 5 different agents we viewed a wide range of properties including totally unsuitable holiday apartments, apartments with outstanding views but small accommodation, very good large apartments which were too far back in the hills (for us) and finally 2 properties which ticked 80%-90% of our requirements (as always when on a budget compromises have to be made). After an agonising process we finally made a decision and have started the buying process through a local lawyer.
The service from the various agents ranged from excellent to what can only be described as a waste of our time.
I would like to personally thank Janet, from this forum, for all her help and advice and am only sorry the property we finally decided upon was not available with her.
(I am sure there are other very good agents on this forum and to my knowledge none of the agents, who failed to make the grade in my eyes, are members – also I am speaking from personal experience but do believe everyone should form their own opinions)
