Sorry that you are unwell - it's a two proged attack isn't it ... it's not only the fact that it's happened, it's also frightening because it has happened when you thought that you were over it!!! (I'm sure that you know what I mean, even though others may not)

Bach's Rescue Remedy seems to work for a lot of people - especially if you believe that it will.

There's a natural remedies shop in Los Cris near Lewinsky's just down from the bus station. Ask in there.

Just stuck it through the translator and panic attacks & anxiety come up as 'el pánico ataca y la ansiedad'

According to a friend, Rescue Remedy by Bach's flower remedies is good. Put a few drops on the toungue when you feel the panic building up.

Helpful advice for panic attacks

Hello, sorry to hear about your panic attacks.
I like yourself had them a few years ago and it was very bad for 2 years. They came out of nowhere, for no reason.I ended up collapsing and hospitalised for a couple of weeks as i was pretending to everyone i was ok, as i felt embarassed to tell people . Going into hospital was the best thing that could have happened as i finally found a medication that agreed with me.
It was diazepam. however these pills are highly addictive and you may have a fight on your hands for your doctor to prescribe them, but please try them they work and within half an hour you feel like yourself.
When you get them, you need to be sensible with them. 4 a day for the first week. This breaks the cycle of the panic attacks. After that first week on them you will start to feel like yourself. you will be able to sleep, relax, go out you will not believe the solution is so simple.
Week 2 you need to go down to 3 a day.
Week 3 2 a day.
Week 4 down to one a day.
Week 5 go off the tablets. When this happens you will start to think 'are the panic attacks only away because of the medication??' but this is the crux of getting better, carry some diazapam in your handbag and know that you can take one if needed at any time. This gives you piece of mind believe me!!I have been there. With panic attacks you get over one and worry when the next one is going to happen, but because you have a cure in your handbag, you will not worry and hence will not start the cycle of anxiety and panic all over again.
I carried the diazapam about in my handbag for 6 months and Never needed to take one!!Then i decided it was time to leave them at home. So I did, but i was still ok , because i knew they were there if i needed to get to them. Well guess what, i never did, because i had piece of mind just knowing they were there. After 2 years of gathering dust on top of my wardrobe, i threw them away! Yipee!!!
I hope you follow this advice, because i know it works. I know you would prefer to go down the alternative therapy medication route, but take it from someone who tried everything going, bachs remedies, lavender oil, all types of aromotherapy oils for over 2 years, these are all good for positive mood , but did not cure me!!
The best alternative therapy that did and still continues to bless my life was the discovery of reflexology. Book yourself in for some sessions and you will be more relaxed and sleeping like a baby in no time.
Well good luck, please follow my advice and get your life back. all you need to do is get diazepam to break the cycle, as once the cycle is broken your body gets a chance to recover!!
If you would like to pm me to chat or some positivity, please do as i have been there and know what you are going through.
Thinking of you. Lisa

I'll second the Bach rescue remedy.

maybe Camomile tea will help you, it certainly helps me when my nerves get the better of me. Lavendar is also supposed to be good, try putting some oil on your pillow at night, I think it works anyway.

panic attacks

Bachs remedy is excellent, and is from all sorts of flowers. I have a book on Bachs remedy. I take Cider Vinager and honey which I take and is good for allsorts.
Cider Vinager and honey, two teaspoons of the vinager and two teaspoons of honey in warm water three times a day. It is also good for arthritis (not that you have that), eczema, headache you name it, its natural and it works it is very good for stress, it is cheaper than Bachs remedy, you only get a small bottle of Bachs where you can get a large bottle of the cider vinager and a large bottle of honey. I hope whatever you take works for you and you feel better soon. Panic attacks are not very pleasant I had one some time ago and ended up in hospital as they thought I was having a heart attack. Thank heavens it wasnt that.
