What is the best ever gig or festival you have attended?

Just something to get your memory banks going. What is the best ever gig or festival you have attended? Recently for me was the B.B King and Gary Moore gig at Sheffield Arena, it was the B.B King at 80 tour. Being a fan of blues it's slightly annoying most of the people I am a big fan of died over 50 years ago

So it was great to see him, I am trying to get to see Buddy Guy as he normally does a little tour and goes to Edinburgh where I have friends.

I saw B.B. King when he toured with John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers. Both amazing! B.B. had to perform sitting down for most of his set but proved he still had all his talent untouched by age.

in june 06 i went to see the eagles at birmingham n.i.a...it was an awsome evening,,,they (the eagles) sounded great,,,even as they have got older there music & songs have never dated,,,

The Stranglers - pre Hugh Cornwell's departure at the Manchester Academy. VERY small gig... very sweaty!

Or Rage Against the Machine at Glastonbury in the 90's

or R.E.M. at Milto Keynes supported by... wait for it... The Cranberries and RADIOHEAD! Awesome!

Also saw Michael Jackson in Leeds and London a few times and despite his later fall from grace, the shows were still damn good.

or U2 on their Zoo tour... I was a roadie for that one, so I had a backstage pass

Also had backstage for Jean Michel Jarre in Manchester. Wouldn't have been something I would normally go to, but it was great! Especially seen as I helped install the laser harp, so I was able to say "I did that"

When I worked at Virgin Radio in London we used to get live bands in to do sets all the time and I saw some good little 'private' concerts there... Joan Armatrading, Cast, Dodgy, Marillion, Xtreme, Gary Moore (who was a right ******, TBH) and my heart-throb from the 80's, Tony Hadley... to name but a few. Ah! Those were the days....

Ooh... and I took my ex to see Status Quo in Manchester Apollo for his birthday. Managed to pull a few strings and get backstage passes for that (as he was a BIG fan) and Rick told me I have nice boobs!

Bon Jovi are fantastic live saw them a couple of times
Rod Stewart also very good but went to see Cliff Richard once and fell asleep---standing up

Going back just a few years Cardiff castle Status Quo, Strawbs, Curved Air and Budgie three days of seriuos loud music.

i once went to see the pet shop boys....t b h they were rubbish,,,,but i have seen some really good live perfomances,,,ie, erasure, whitney huston, diana ross, steve harley & cockney rebel (remember them?) the drifters, yes kirsty they were the days....

The Who, Doors, Stones, Fleetwood Mac (old & new), Pink Floyd (twice), Led Zeppelin...........
