Some questions about ISA accounts in the UK

Are you allowed to have £75,000 in a ISA account?

Can't see why not, providing you only put the allowed amount by the government into it each year

Depends on the type of assets you hold.
Cash limit was raised to £3,600 per annum for 2008-2009 You can add more in stocks and shares, up to a total cash and stocks & shares of £7,200 per annum.

You can have different ISA´s with different companies but can only open one per year. Good idea to use different banks if you have accrued more than £35,000 in any one ISA in order to maximise your investor protection should the bank fail.

Hi

There is also a condition that you must be a resident and ordinarily reside in the UK. There are some exceptions to this such as service staff etc.
