Is anyone else on the Tenerife Forum scared of cats?
I have a real phobia of cats and my friend who i babysit for has just brought one to live with her. Dont get me wrong i would never harm one and i even like the look of them but i just cant stand them near me and they seem to sence this if i come into contact with one, they make the hairs on my arms stand up and i am so scared of them and have been all my life. So my friend has put him outside on the balcony while i babysit for her. I have checked him a couple of times (through the window) and he looks quite happy. Is there anyone else who has a fear of cats like this or is it just me that is weird??

I have a thing against them too I love them but when I go by them I end up bloated and full of the biggest boils your ever did see
I went through so many endless tests to see why but I'm still left with no answers and now my son is reacting the same way

Thing is, they are mischievous so and so´s and tend to make a bee line for prople who are scared of them My Nan is frightened of them too Dede, she would never come to my house in England as I had three of them there! I just love em, their intelligence, cunning and independence fascinate me. Within 24 hours of living here Snuggles had been out on adventure and worked out how to get back to both the front door and the back. And he is so gorgeous, such a handsome cat, love him!!!

I'm not afraid of them, just alergic to them. Actually I think its the hair. If I go to a customers house and find they have cats, I know I've got about half an hour before I start itching and my nose starts running and my eyes start streaming, after about an hour my left eye goes completley misshapen - Yuk!. Once I'm out in the fresh air, within half an hour I'm fine . If I know I'm going somewhere with cats then I take anti-histamine and I don't get affected. Dogs don't have the same effect fortunately, as I seem to come across far more dogs in houses than cats.

I'm also allergic to them and react exactly the same as you

I love my cats... but took one of the kids to the docs yesterday and there's a possibility she might be allergic to 'em
