Do you believe forcasts about the credit crunch?

Given the fact that many of the so called financial experts who are now providing predicitions / information about what will happen with interest rates, house prices etc, are the same people who have help caused much of the problems does anyone actually believe anything that is being forcast ?
Some of these experts EG from RBS bank have acheived great things over the last 12/14 months having managed to take the share price from a high of around £10 to the dizzy heights of around £2 and still keep their jobs as well as collect bonuses, they obviously thought it a good idea to buy sub prime loans from faceless bankers ( I am sure this spelling is correct ?) in America without checking what they were actually buying. These are obviously people who's opinion you would listen to and believe..

They can't tell its all doom & gloom ahead because everybody would be suicidal. Everybody has to believe the credit crunch is a blip that we have to get through, whether it is or not remains to be seen.

What is your question? do I believe forecasts about the credit crunch? Yes, a mortgage in England has gone to 5.75%, a mortgage here went to 6.6% , both increases of more than 18% and the value of property? pick a number!!!
but they´ll have a minus in front of them.

Will banks and their employees still make money? Yes
Banks hand out umbrellas when the sun shines and want them back when it threatens to rain! thats life if your in Tenerife, Torquay or Timbuktoo
Welcome to adulthood
