I think my point is that the averaging the airline industry do is constantly updated with regular sampling and has enough margin of error to fly us safe. If airlines have a flight of sumo wrestlers they weigh them and the baggage and the crew for exactly the reasons you mention.

No, the original thread is about the cost of the fare being directly linked to the weight required by the passenger. This weight includes body mass and luggage.
