Do any of you working+living in Tenerife actually have a siesta? Why cant we have them in UK?
No, I don't.. I could never take a split shift job for that reason.
A siesta/nap would screw with my sleep schedule at night.

I do most days if I can, only because I don´t sleep much at nights. I go to bed at silly o clock only to be wide awake three hours later. By 2pm I´m ready for bed, by 5 ready for work ! I like my little snooze in the afternoons, but I don´t half have some weird dreams when kipping in the daytime.
i have about twenty siestas a day!!! well.....its hard being pregnant in this heat!!!

Oh for the luxury of a siesta! But they are going out of fashion, even amongst the Spanish. For example, many government offices do not allow the long lunch breaks due to protests a year or two (or three... time flies) ago.
I never have time to ! I finish work at 2pm and then its straight onto the forum
