Forum has been slow for me over the last few days - would Chrome speed it up Are there any risks in a Computer Idiot downloading it ? By the way, I like the name, Chrome ... certainly a better ring to it than Cuil

i read about the browser earlier in the day but wasn't aware of any version available yet, not ready for mac but soon hopefully

Just downloaded it onto my superslow computer that runs windows XP home edition and it seems to have speeded it up a bit. Thanks Fire13!

I've started using Google Chrome instead of internet explorer with Vista & would recommend it to all. There is a handy favourites bar at the top and even has a spell checker for forum posts

Would just like to say this is a beta so don't do any on-line banking etc with it.

Glad you like it Licinius, I like how you can set your home page to show tabs of your most visited sites.

Andy apologies for not answering your post from September, must of missed it.

I live in a village near Morecambe (not Heysham which you mentioned in another thread not long ago) but Bolton-Le-Sands.

I know Bolton le Sands very well, i have tried chrome but i have to say i find Mozilla Firefox the best of the lot and it also eliminates all the error messages i get about Java!
The little yellow warning triangle in the bottom corner of the screen ones.
