Why is it that kids today are having kids just to cash in on them?

Why is it that kids today are having kids? Well i watched a documentary on it, and all the youngs mums openly said that having children meant they could get a council house and child benefits. They said that the more children they had the more benefit money they would get and that they would get their rent paid, they wouldn't have to work and could also claim doll money.
The cheek of it. There are people out there who can't have children and would give there right arm to have a child and these people are having endless children to cash in on them.

I don't think they look into it properly...the kids that is. My daughter is a single mum she is nearly 23. She had to wait 18 months after the birth for a council place and was living basicaly in one room until then. After paying all her bills and budgeting for food etc.- it leaves her with £10 a week for clothes and leisure....so not all a bed of roses. Saying that she is doing an online course so that as soon as her daughter gets to playschool she can go out and earn her own living. It may look good on paper getting all the benefits but once they have paid their way there is not a lot left. I think a lot of them find it's a quick way of leaving home which is very sad for them and the children they are bringing into the world. Thankfully that was not the case for my daughter.

Seems to me that you have a great daughter. Her head is screwed on and she knows what she wants. Nice to see young mums, being and wanting to be mums.

I think it could be a mixture of both, dependant on circumstance.
