Is anyone on the Tenerife Forum going to watch the Olympics 2008 closing ceremony?
I have really enjoyed this years olympics and team GB have done well has any of the forum members enjoyed the last two weeks, and are any of you watching the closing ceremony

Yes .. switched to Spanish TV to see the fireworks - BBC kept showing Kate whatshername with big headphones rather than the real show

I agree the fireworks were fantastic So how are we going to top this

mmmmm maybe more increases in the next budget Thankfully not coming out of my pocket any more.
I must say though we made friends with some Germans who holiday here regularly and they said their taxes are 50% of their earnings....thats even worse than UK.

Loved the opening, closing + everything in between! I don't think we could even try to 'top this', but go in a different direction. The Brits are second to none when it comes to big occasions, pageantry, music, also possibly some humour, which was lacking with the Chinese ceremonies. Got to say though, that the collapsing London bus looked a bit sad in the middle of all that splendour!

I thought the closing ceremony was very poor much to long & not very entertaining much prefered the opening
