Thumbs down Warning to Tenerife Forum members about spam email scams!

E mail this morning saying my booking on American Airlines was confirmed and that $600 was debited from my credit card, gave a number etc for me to print ticket. E mailed back on the address given, e mail came back could not deliver. Phoned my bank in UK and gave them details as I do not have a credit card. Bank checked my account and no money had been withdrawn. The bank has put a note on my account that this scam had been reported.
PLEASE IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY OF YOUR BANK OR CREDIT CARD DETAILS THIS IS A SCAM AND IT CAN CAUSE A VIRUS PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT REPLY DELETE DELETE DELETE

If you don't know the person who sent it, then delete it. These e-mails rely on people responding and giving some details about themselves. As mentioned above anything .exe is a giveaway.

Yes as said just delete - never reply and never click the remove from mail list tab either as this is a con too.

I find the new windows mail on vista to be very effective but these ones along with a fake fedex one still get through. They don't get past Avast though.
