Just booked my holiday for this year and I am going back for my 7th visit to Las Vegas...for anybody who has not been there this is the greatest place on earth. Its a true saying that if you can dream it then in Vegas you can do it...I have fulfilled soooooo many of my lifes ambitions there, helicopter ride down the strip, the Grand Canyon, sky-diving with Mike Carlton, seeing Elton John in concert and winning a shed load of money. Vegas is Disneyland for adults and people who have been will tell you its very hard to describe because everything is so MASSIVE words cannot create the real picture as it has to be seen to be believed...I once spent 9 hours walking around the Venetian Hotel including taking a Gondola ride on the 1ST FLOOR !!! It is so cheap when you are there you can eat and drink for nothing and you can literally gamble for hours with just 100 dollars...you win and lose but ALWAYS have fun...Its only cost me 700 euros for a direct return flight and accommodation is just 28 dollars per room per night (now do you understand why Tenerife is not as busy)...... I would love to hear from anybody else who has been to Vegas...tell us of your experience and is there anybody who dreams of going....trust me you won't be disappointed. __________________ Apartments available in San Marino, Los Cristianos To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. Spent a whole day walking around the casinos exploring and didnt see half of them! A helicopter flight down the Grand Canyon is a must. we enjoyed the casinos in downtown for gambling better than those on the strip ( lower stakes) but food and drink is cheap and plentfull. You cannot finish most of the meals. we had a ham sandwich in one of the casinos and the ham must have been pilled 4 inches high! Where are you staying? We stayed at Treasure Island, wanted to stay at The Wynne but they had no rooms have a fab time __________________ a cross between Victor Meldrew and Homer Simpson | | | 12th August 2008, 14:10 | #3 (permalink) | | Super Tenerifian Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Tejina de Guia Gender: Posts: 1,428 | Never really been that tempted by Las Vegas. Heard varying reports about the place. The thrills that you took I would never do like go in a helicopter(NEVER) or sky diving (NEVER EVER). Not into gambling and saw Elton John here. __________________ Support your local team in Tenerife! To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. There was a BBC camera crew there as well who were filming for a TV show and we had our name up in lights. In the morning before the blessing we flew over Grand Canyon which was truly amazing, and rolling up to the chapel in a limo big enough to house a small country was fun. The whole Vegas experience was a blast. Complete sensory overload and completely hilarious. I think we laughed the whole time we were there! We met some fab (and very quirky) people. Had lots of fun with my huge pot of coins nattering to an old lady in my wedding frock. She showed me what I needed to do and hubby and I had an amazing dinner with my winnings. If you ever get the chance to go people, do it, do it, do it. __________________ Effective Marketing Tenerife - Growing YOUR Business is OUR Business! www.effectivemarketingtenerife.com | | | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to Jenniewhitewave For This Useful Post: | | 12th August 2008, 14:18 | #6 (permalink) | | Tenerifian Join Date: May 2007 Gender: Posts: 163 | Vegas We went to Vegas for our honeymoon 4 years ago. Sshhh don't tell anyone! I think it would be a blast and would sort out the worry of the guest list! Did you arrange everything before you went? | Hubby organised it but did it all online before we went. If you get the chance to do it I promise you'll have such fun. We walked through Caesars Palace in our wedding clothes and everyone was clapping and cheering, I felt a million dollars (but wish I had won a million dollars ) __________________ Effective Marketing Tenerife - Growing YOUR Business is OUR Business! www.effectivemarketingtenerife.com | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Jenniewhitewave For This Useful Post: | | 12th August 2008, 14:56 | #10 (permalink) | | Super Tenerifian Join Date: May 2006 Location: Phuket, Thailand.
