My husband and I got married at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in 1999.
Went with a couple of friends and had a great time.
Did not book anything until we got there not even the hotel.
Wanted to have a look around before we decided.
Anyway all went well , went back a couple of years later with some other friends did the Grand canyon etc had a brilliant time and hope to go again soon with the kids.
If you want to do something different go to Vegas you will have a great time with lots of shows etc its not all gambling!

Mr Pixie and I went to Vegas about 7 years ago. What an amazing experience, we stayed in the Venetian hotel which has a canal running around the hotel and if you go up to the second floor it has a replica of St Marks Square with a sky that changes from day to night. The enormity of Las Vegas is incredible. We spent 6 days there and gambled rather a lot of money away but it was well worth it. Went up to the Stratosphere, went in a limo, went on the roller coaster aroung New York New York, which was amazing.
We also went to a few exclusive parties, including on that was held in Hilton Hotel, Top floor suite, used to be Elvis'. You have to take a gold lift to the suite and you are not allowed cameras. It was a different world up there.
Also went to a party in Gameworks, this area was taken over for the party and everything was free, so it was brilliant to try all the arcade games out.
We went to a night club in the Venetian Hotel and shared the VIP lounge with Mike Tyson, well we couldnt see him for all the bouncers, I dont understand why he needed bouncers.
Brilliant time, well worth a trip atleast once in your lifetime.

Been there twice. The last time for a friends 40th birthday. He was a marksman in the FCA(Irish reserve army)and he wanted to go to the gun store to try out some guns.BTW I hate guns, but it was his birthday so I went with him. When we got there I told the assistant that I never used a gun so he took an M16 machine gun off the wall and said "Try this for size".Nearly sh*t meself but it was good craic.Did the Grand Canyon in the helicopter.Bloody awesome.Saw the "O" show in the Bellagio hotel.Incredible.There was some chap sitting at the back of the stage reading the newspaper for five minutes, then he just got up and walked off.He was literally in flames for the whole time. Saw the titanic exibition,a bit weird, you could buy a piece of coal from the ship for 20.000 dollars.
just writing this is making me remember what a brilliant place it is.Have a good time.

Well, the time is nearly here, only three days to go and it's Viva Las Vegas!! And not a day too soon as The North and November don't go hand in hand too well!

Cheers Scooby.I've been a few times, and it's been magic every time. Love it even more when there's thousands of Mancs taking over the strip like last November!!
