Tenerife Forum members, has AVG 8.0 Antivirus slowed your pc down?

It flippin has all of mine. Any solutions apart from changing programmes?

Ours is slow but only when it is scanning the computer.

not noticed it to be slower but takes ages to do a system scan
mind you i do have over a terrabyte of hard drive may be that

Try Avast. It's free for home use and is the business. I prefer it to AVG or McAfee, both of which I have used in the past, any day.

AVG scans on start up so does slow your pc, just interupt the process & you'll be ok again.

Serial numbers for Avast pro are easy to come by if anyone needs one
