Have you stopped going on holiday as much due to flight prices rising?
I was watching GMTV this morning about expensive flights. I thought it was so true, they were saying that people are not going abroad hardly anymore, they end up staying in the UK for there summer holiday. Who can rely on the British weather ay? It's hard for me as i would like to see my dad as much as i can in Tenerife, the thing is with flights on the rise i will not be able to do that, which sucks. I haven't seen my dad in a couple of months because of this.
Have you cut down this year etc?

No is my answer I have to be at home as much as I can and if that means going without having a social life here... then I'm up for it All my spare pennies go on my next flight

Yes, like not having a Costly Coffee and muffin everyday
I have managed to sort out a flight to Tenerife in November that is £100 cheaper than the same flight in April this year
Well done, was it with thomsonfly=? I thought they stopped all their flights from bournemouth but got a email the other day with all the offers, but think it is just one flight a week now, so there will be a huge demand I think.
The media say its all gone up but there are still flights around that are cheap. Some package deals are cheaoer than the flight on its own, If you have family or friends to stay with just book the package and dont bother staying at the hotel. Late deals are still really cheap so check the weekend papers, not the travel supermarket type sites or the brochures as these are all well marked up. We have got 2 weeks in september for £300 each. Thats flights, sc hotel and transfers. Still deals around so just look hard
I usually visit Tenerife 3 times a year This year the flights have gone very expensive from Cardiff and Bristol, also the Tuesday flight does not exist anymore so there is also a shortage of flights But I will keep looking and hope to be there in September

I am feeling the pinch too but am not willing to give up a nice vacation. I would rather cut back on other things like shopping and maybe not eat out as much. There is $3000 easily for vacation. I think we will all do what is important to us.
