What do Tenerife Forum members think of old men with young woman or vice versa?
you see a lot of old men with young woman and he gets the tumbs up. but when its the other way around it a crime. have a friend who 60 married a lovely guy 29. still together after 3 years and happy. what do forum readers think on this subject

I know what you mean here, people do look and comment if the woman is years older than the man but the other way around goes without being noticed, wrong i know but that is what i find happens

In 1978 my mother who was 46, got together with a guy who was 18 and 4 years younger than me
At the time I was really shocked, and didn't know what to make of it. After long discussions with my mum. I decided that if she was happy, that's what really mattered, but if he messed her about I'd beat the crap out of him.
30 years later they are still together. So I guess it worked out.

When I turned 40 I had a 20 year old girlfriend and my ex-wife who was also 40 had just started a relationship with a 20 year old guy, when I asked her how she could be with someone so young she said * its just simple mathematics....20 will go into 40 a lot more times than 40 goes into 20 :whist le:

Ah, who cares? Age is just a number. Some poeple develop and mature more quickly than others, and some never seem to do it! The opinions of people who will turn their nose up at a person because of their gender and their choice of partner, are not worth anything anyhow. tenerifeteddy's story is lovely, right from the start...
