I think they're doing a very good job this week of convincing people that the war in Afghanistan is wrong & we should bring the troops home, without actually taking an anti-war stance.

They're interviewing locals in Afghanistan who don't want us there & locals in the garrison town of Colchester who don't even know what Britsih troops are doing there.

We might actually be starting to see a change in attiutes.

Bring em home to their families!! These poor guys are fighting a war that will never end!! Britain should not have been there in the first place!! They are all such brave lads (and girls too) we should all applaud them!! I can't believe that some ignorant people abuse them when they are home in the UK, these guys should be able to walk the streets with their heads held high. They are all heroes in my opinion!!

Wasn't the reason for the Afghanistan war different to the Iraq war though? It had been proved that the Taliban were harbouring Al Qaeda who had been responsible for the 9/11 monstrousity and had to be dealt with. So I wouldn't say it was wrong.

What I do think is a bit short sighted is announcing on the news that there's going to be a surge of military activity to flush out the Taliban. So they know you're coming, surely a better idea to just do it and speak later. Makes our boys (and girls) sitting ducks.

Iraq and Afghanistan are just another vehicle for the US to try and gain control of the world's oil and they used 9/11 as an excuse to start it. The war should never have started in my opinion.

Bush just wants to control oil for his country.
Weren't there rumours about insider trading on his family's behalf on the day before the twin towers were attacked?
Unless troops of any nationality are on peace-keeping missions, or fighting some mass-genocide, they should probably stay at home.
There was so much speculation over America invading Iraq and Afghanistan that nobody has a clear picture.
I don't have Sky News here, but they've always been pretty good, in my eyes.
