Can i accept -Isle of Man,geurnsey,jersey coins?I thought if they had the Queens head on you could accept it?I live in Brum.
And when does the old £20 note go out of circulation?

Does it matter? It has been posted if the correct section ie: General Chat - anything non Tenerife related.

I don't think there is a date for the old £20 to be withdrawn yet. Not sure about the coins though, but as you say they have the queens head on them so you will have no problem in passing them on.

I do know that Gibraltar notes are not legal tender in the UK though - I found that out by experience.

Might be more sensible to ask at your local bank though, rather than on a forum where most of us haven't been in the UK for some time????

When I was last in the UK, (february), I asked my bank about the old £20 notes, and there is no timescale as yet to change them.

I was in Middlesbourgh last year, no shops would accept the Scottish Sterling I had The banks wouldn't exchange either because I didn't have an account with them I thought Sterling was Sterling, in the end I had to change Euros for (English)Sterling
