ooh at last.just finished sorting out 130 teapots that used to hang on the beems in my last pub before the refurb.i have had some brilliant finds.i have got a blue petrol pump worth about 150 quid and a few others worth over 100.ive also got loads of wade water jugs,i cant believe some of them are worth over 50 aswell,its brill im really exited.we are going to put some on ebay and have a car boot with the rest.

are any of you antique enthusiasts that might be able to advise me what to do cos i am totally in the dark.

any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Depends upon whether you are here or there.

If you are here, then ebay is probably your best market as the few car boots are not usually frequented by people willing to part with money.

If you are there, then you should think about a good quality Auctioneers. Not a biggy like Christies, more somebody like Wintertons.

I have collected some great teapots over the years, but only have about 20. You wouldn't happen to have 'the thinker' amongst your collectuon, by any chance. A Man sat on a 'loo'? No funny remarks please!!!!

If I were you, I would sell them on ebay with a 'reserve' price. But check the site first to see what they sell for .

Or take them to an auctioneers.

Unfortunately ,we have no window sills in Tenerife to display them on. Plus they could easily get smashed in transit.

I am glad you are trying to find out what your treasures are worth, my hubby handed all our 'bits and bobs' over to several charity shops there was loads we could have put on ebay, but time is running out, as we have to move house in 3/4 wks. Good Luck and hope to see you on the Reef in August

Before we moved out here, we tried to sell a lot of stuff on boot sales..But as tenrental says, no one wanted to part with thier money. So we put most of it on ebay.... best thing we ever did. You'll be surprised what people will pay if they really want something. we made a small fortune. just a little tip though....always check the intenet for price guides or the ebay listings to see if anyone else is selling the same, as it will again give you a price guide. good luck.

all bar a few teapots are on ebay,i think we will put the ones worth a bit on ebay and prob car boot the rest.it gives the kids a fun day out and a chance to earn some pocket money.
