Does anyone have any experience of an HGV

Has anyone ever been in a HGV and if so what are they like?

In any way. In the normal way of whatever you do with HGVs.

I did once know a young lady who was caught in a 'compromising situation' in the back of an large army lorry.

From then on she was known as, yes you guessed it, HGV!

Its like anything else, learning is a pretty daunting thing but driving them is very easy,ie power assisted steering, brakes, clutch,I learnt in an old Foden power assisted nothing, the steering wheel was about 3 feet wide and you stood up to get more leverage on it..Pretty little girls can drive Eddie Stobbart draw bar units these days.

Totally agree the new trucks are easy to drive.I learned to drive in a old A series ERF then moved on to a Atkinson borderer with a gate box,now that was fun.

Whilst I like the sound of an atkinson borderer with gate box, I am more interested in the interior furnishings.
I particularly like the idea of the curtains, does this have a tendancy to match the decor? Is it complementary with the cushions for example?
The whole concept of HGV is really rather fascinating, I have been in a fire engine but feel I am missing out on the experience of giant truck department.

My sister in law became a truck driver because she thought it would pull the boys. She is 44 and still single.

She had curtains in her truck.
