The reason they are allowing their album and previously, their 2 singles from it to be downlooaded free is because they and their manager feel that the future is to make money from ticket sales for gigs and use the albums to promote the band,

    i don't really care for them but like that the album is for free. radiohead have done it as well with their newest albums...
    just a shame that all those bands seem to do it now that i don't like much

    just read that REM will be doing the same, 1 week before the official release of "accelarate", they will stream it on facebook and myspace, etc..
