A lot of todays press has been taken up with Al Fayeds day in court for the Diana inquest.At the begining 10 years ago I had a lot of sympathy for him over the loss of a much loved son.When this accident happened all eyes and ears were on Diana,not much sympathy given to Dodi,it was though he never existed.His father is still grieving and rightly so,but this grieving has become something of a pantomime and I am losing patience with it.In my opinion this was a tragic accident made worse by a drunken driver.What do forum members think,should this be left to rest after the inquest because I would bet my bottom dollar Al Fayed won't give up that easily.The insults to the Royal family are a farce and he is becoming a laughing stock.

to be honest, i find him a bit pathetic by now as well....just let sleeping dogs die, it won´t bring neither dodo or diana back, it was a tragic accident, but 10 years after it should really be put to a rest....

so sad must be awful to loose a son in his prime and a daughter in such tragic circumstances
so so sad needs putting to bed this i think

I agree it's maybe time to allow them to rest in peace now but i can't begin to imagine how it feels to loose a child regardless of their age and i would've thought it's enough to make you go a bit nuts especially when its been so public.

Why kill this thread its not offensive,it does'nt incite racial hatred,its PC so whats the reason to kill it other than you say 'its old news'.Its in todays paper so its todays news.

I have a few other items I would like to thread but I don't think I will bother with them,I might as well watch the football tonight instead.

Just a small point - he is deluded in respect of his own name, which is in fact just Fayed. The Al, a mark of aristocracy, is his own invention.
