Another Shooting in America at a college..... Why ?

Police have identified a gunman who killed five students when he opened fire at a university near Chicago as a former student Stephen Kazmierczak.
Head of police at Northern Illinois University, Don Grady, said Kazmierczak had studied sociology there in 2007.
Chief Grady said it was not known why Kazmierczak - who was armed with three handguns and a shotgun - opened fire in a crowded lecture hall.
Another 15 people were injured before Kazmierczak shot and killed himself.

This is happening almost every week in the World ... whats going wrong with society that these young people feel the need to kill and kill themselves ?...........

dreadful. i'm gonna switch the news on now.

today's society? a young lad killed last night in the city centre here outside a night club. very sad.

When I heard this report before I left for work this morning, it was announced as "the latest" university shooting in America as if it is so commonplace now it is practically expected on a regular basis! How sad.

Maybe its me but I cant see what was achieved, or why these young people their whole world in front of them would do such an act. When there is so many less fortunate than them in their country and in the world as a whole ?......

That's the trouble, the young don't think as rationally as us old-timers. One thing slightly wrong can tip the balance with some youngsters and for them it's the end of the world!

What's the betting that the National Rifle Association will call for the arming of all students, on the grounds that if everyone had a gun, they could shoot a maniac before he does much damage. Duh.

The NRA has in fact previously called for the arming of teachers to enable them to defend themselves and their classes from armed pupils.

Until America deals with the fact that it not only has a gun problem, but also a gun attitude problem, and abolishes the ridiculous clause in its constitution about the "right to bear arms", there will be shootings that are indeed so commonplace that it's normal to hear about them.

If a society believes it has the right to bear arms, it will see those weapons as a legitimate solution when all else seems to have failed. Quite simple really.
