Are there any other bookworms here? What are you currently reading and would you recommend it to other people?
I LOVE books. New or second-hand, paperback or hardback - it doesn't matter. I have just finished "Ugly" by Constance Briscoe and thought it was fantastic. An extraordinary story (based on a true story) of a young black girl who was constantly abused (physically and emotionally) by her mother but who found the strength to take life into her own hands, working different jobs from a young age and then going on to university to study law. It was a disturbing but encouraging book, one of those you can't put down! Highly recommend it

I have read these too, they are absolutely gripping.
I am reading Secrets by Lesley Pearse at the moment, this is the fourth book of hers that I have read, they are really hard to put down.
Have also just read Alice's Diary by Vernon Coleman, hilarious read for any cat lover/owner.
at the moment i am reading "human croquet" i by kate atkinson. "The book covers the experiences of Isobel Fairfax, including her occasional bouts of time-travelling, while setting out the legacy of a 300 year old family curse." usually cornflake girl passes the books on to me
Harry Potter y el prisionero de Azkaban ... again, Ben Elton, Chart Throb Javier Moro, Pasión India (true story of a Spanish dancer who married a maharaja), and Frank McCourt, Angela's Ashes.
Probably not a very popular one but, I'm into autobiographies, and could not put down "The world according to" Jeremy Clarkson. I loved it so much that I brought the second volume too! If you're a times newspaper reader you'll love his witty remarks on just about everything really!
