Unhappy I have a poorly mouse!

My mouse seems to have developed an involuntary tic. Suddenly the cursor shoots of to another area of the screen for no apparent reason. Anybody have any remedies for this?

I agree. Sounds like it is a 'mechanical' mouse. The rollers get clogged and need cleaning or a bit of fluff gets trapped inside.

It is also a wee reminder that optical meece are more reliable in this respect. Worth replacing it IMO.

shiney mouse pad or glass top or shiney table surface? - red light reflects back on its self and cursor goes nuts or doen't work at all.
