About a quarter the cost (sent from the UK). __________________ The best telefonica can do: To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. If its just Bangkok and the other well developed areas of Thailand we had normal malaria tablets from Boots, they cost around £20 if my memory serves me correctly. We took Larium and had to start taking a weekly tablet 2 weeks before travel, one a week during travel and one for 4 weeks after we travelled. Take a look at this site, it gives a malaria map of Thailand __________________ A gourmet who counts calories is like a tart who looks at her watch To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. Do you really need them? We took them when we went to Thailand & India & the friends we travelled with didn't & they were OK. Make sure they are a must before buying them as they can have very nasty side effects. We paid £35 for us 3 years ago, so check the over the counter price as we didn't need a prescription for ours, unless the rules have changed. Also price them here too if you are in Tenerife, or get someone to do it for you & bring them over to the UK if they are going over if they are cheaper here. As I said, do check if you really need them first. Gender: Posts: 926 | Mandy, Forget Malaria tablets...why are you taking them?? You're not going trecking in Chang Mai?? A waste of money. You're more at danger from Dengie Fever.. My advise is invest in a good mosquito repellent. You can buy it in Bangkok when you get here. Its...and I really shouldn't say this but... its 50p from Watsons. Buy the Thai make that is 25% deet. Malaria tablets will make you ill and a huge waiste of money...don't get bit in the first place. You're going to 'tourist' places, not the jungle! You're not trecking through the jungle so why bother?? __________________ To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Gender: Posts: 926 | I really would not bother, at all. you are most at risk during the rainy season....that finished 2 months ago and does not start again till September. It will not only be a waist of moeny but they make you ill, and cost a lot of money. I've been to Cambodia, and never got bit once, I don't get bit in Bangkok or here in Phuket either. I know, from the local press you're only at risk if you are mainly in the North, and then its in the jungle. You have been to Phuket, Bangkok last year and know...its hardly a jungle? Be safe, but don't bother, I wouldn't do it if I went. __________________ To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
