Why has no-one thought to open a micro-brewery pub somewhere in the south of Teneife? I'd be their first customer, as I don't share SOG's obsession with cold Dorada I must admit

I will get my husband to do it when he retires,he is a great follower of real ale.We have a pub close to us,not our local though and they have beer festivals,he loves it.I will get him to post some of the ales they stock.

Excellent @ollyvee! The first thing I did last February when I visted the UK was head to a (smoking permitted then) pub for a pint of Harveys Real Ale - bliss! It was, as it happens, a gay bar, but I paid it no attention as I was in Harvey's heaven

Well, I for one don't understand. I have always thought that England has the very worst beer in Europe. Flat, warm, lifeless.

Tasteless cold lemonade that is Dorada is an acquired taste. After a year here, I actually welcome it after a hot round of golf.

Expectations lowered to contentment, I suppose.
