One less thing to worry about. On the other hand is having too much money a worry for some? Can we have too much money? | | | 31st December 2007, 17:56 | #6 (permalink) | | Super Tenerifian Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: El Medano Gender: Posts: 2,152 My Mood: | i dont think it ensures happiness as there are lots of things can happen in your life that all the money in the world couldnt change, but i do think it must make your life alot easier not having to worry about paying bills and just going out to spend whenever you want on whatever you want. oh well i can but dream..................... __________________ To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. How much 'money' would people like? What does it mean to 'have' money? Shortly after moving to the island, I had assets of 'howevermuch' but this didn't stop a situation developing where for two weeks I had less than 10 euros in the bank and a couple of euros in my pocket . That was scary. Having money and being able to spend it are two different things IMO __________________ To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. Having money and being able to spend it are two different things IMO | I think that when you go from having too little money to too much you seem to lose the ability to spend it.You think 'whats round the corner'you have probably scrimped and tried to save all your life and suddenly you have this great pile of cash and you don't want to spend it.When my father was diagnosed with cancer he was in a position to buy any amount of treatment because he had money, but it was terminal,so no amount of money would save him, that is a tragedy, too much money, nothing he could buy to save his life. | | | 31st December 2007, 18:32 | #10 (permalink) | | Human Being Join Date: May 2006 Location: Los Menores (near Adeje) Gender: Posts: 1,638 | I've been in both situations in my life so far: Lots of money, but unhappy; and virtually skint, but deliriously happy. Money only buys security if you feel insecure without it. Mr Micawber had the right idea Quote: | Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery. | It's not the amount that matters. Winning the pools has made many people miserable and messed up ther previously happy lives. __________________ The best telefonica can do: To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater.
