What does happiness mean to the Tenerife Forum members?
Come 12 mindnight we will all be wishing everyone a happy new year yesterday i was watching a bbc program that says they can now measure happiness. So what does happiness mean to forum members and what makes them happy.David

Enough money to be able to eat,keep warm,and a close and loving family when the going gets tough.The ability to see both sides of the argument,but don't have too many of them,to be able to forgive,keep a level head [not always possible with me]and above all to be able to lead a peaceful existance.

Seems to me that money often buys insecurity rather than security.

If you have little to lose, you worry about it less.

happiness
i don't know how to measure happiness but i do know if i focus on what i have not got i will be unhappy, so unhappiness is focusing on what i have not got pure and simple,oh but hard to do sometimes

I am quite prepared to give it a chance,just think no work golf all day,top of the range equipment [golf I mean]nice Merc,villa on a golf course.
