I need advice regarding dealing with my Manager at work please.

Dillema- if your manager at work doesnt say hello/good morning is it best to ignore her all day or be as nice as pie

I would always say goodmorning wether I get a reply or not. After that if he/she wanted a quiet day I would leave it at then then give a friendly goodbye when I left

Send a message via MSN to hopper
Is it just you she's miserable with or with everyone else?

Maybe she's just not a morning person.

Or maybe she's out on the lash every night and has the mother of all hangovers every morning.

No apart from her golden girls she doesnt say hi/morning to about 10 of us.
She aint a morning afternoon or evening person
she goes to church[ or so she says] deosnt drink smoke or participate in s. activities so who knows whats up with her
she doesnt communicate with us at all-which is ironic as she teaches on a saturday

Sounds like someone with serious problems or maybe takes a long time to get to know people. Best thing is to get on with the rest of the staff and let her come to you in her own good time. If she does not then it is her loss not having you as a work mate.
