| The Kylie Show, insensitive, or am I being a bit PC? I wouldn't have noticed this had I not been channel hopping, but at the end of The Kylie Show last night, she was singing her final song of the show. To her left were a row of topless women dressed as guardsmen and as the final chorus of the song was being played out some rose petals came floating down from the ceiling. Turn over to the other side to see the end of 'Lest We Forget' which most people would know has a sequence at the end where the poppy petals representing the people who have died in conflict fall on representatives of the military. Now I'm not a tub thumper, but I do recognise that so many men and women gave their lives for the sake of future generations. And even conflicts, such as the Falklands War and Iraq Invasion which I have always been against, still demands respect for the lives of so many young people. I just think it was very insensitive and disrespectful. Makes you wonder who's running ITV light entertainment. __________________ Red Arrow Money Exchange Internet, Cheap International Calls Bookswap, Excursions 6006, CC Compostela Beach I |
