Watch Opera - Carmen - on the internet

If you have never watched opera before, can I suggest you just give it a try by following the link below ... recording of Carmen at the ENO last Saturday (Oct 27th). It´s a very modern production directed by Sally Potter (Orlando, Tango Lesson) - the critics hated it: I was in the audience last Saturday and loved it

Unusual use of mixed media ... lots of tango (and hip hop

) with well known Pablo Veron from Argentina

You can watch each act either from the audience view or from backstage ... and it will be available for 7 days only from this evening

Go on .... just dip a toe in and go to Act Two - I guarantee you already know the music ... and it´s sung in English (another reason why the purists hate it)

I brought along someone who had never seen an opera before and he was enthralled.
