So is the Forum greater than than the sum of it's parts (members)? Do some members think they are bigger than the Forum? There have been some posts over the last few weeks where some members think the Forum is becoming 'staid'. Is it becoming 'staid', is there just so much information on there already, are people too busy to post, or is it becoming a bit of a nanny state? I would just like some honest thoughts on how the members view the Forum these days please.

I personally don't think the forum has become staid at all. I'm still totally addicted and log on at every opportunity. I enjoy the information available and like to have a laugh at the funnier threads. Not all the threads are of interest to me but that doesn't mean they won't be of interest to other people. I've made some great friends through the forum, long may it continue.

I think the Forum is like the curate's egg: excellent in parts. The great thing is that anyone can select what they like and just disregard some threads which don't interest them.
Call me thick if you like but what does staid mean as i dont have a dictionary ? Perhaps someone could explain its meaning to me

staid (adjective) Of steady and sober character; of quiet and serious demeanour; sedate. These days, it might mean a bit boring. Not to be confused with 'stayed' as in I stayed up all night.

exactly, there are a few threads i am not really interested in, or there are some where i have nothing to say about the topic, etc...but by the end of the day, this forum is a great source of info packed nicely and neatly into one big package where everyone can pick whatever one needs or wants.
