Recommendations wanted for rental websites please

Just looking for some help please, I have an apartment in Chayofa which I rent using the owners direct website. I would like to attract more bookings and wonder which websites other forum members use.

I prefer to handle the bookings myself and therefore don't really want to use a management company.

Would appreciate any help

Thanks
Flossie

Hi Flossie

I use www.holidaylettings.co.uk and www.holiday-rentals.co.uk . I used to use owners direct but found the other two better. There are 1 or two free ones also and if you search the site for "rental site" I have posted a couple of free Irish ones that have been set up and are still free as they are growing. http://www.holidayhomesdirect.ie/ for instance.

Also if you become a regular on here and contribute you can add your apartment to your signature like mine if you get permission from the Mods. From looking at my hits its amazing the amount of hits you get from this forum , wonderful forum it is.

Lastly if you have any special weeks you want to get rid off, the apartment available section on here is good.

The two sites I have mentioned above are the best two in my opinion only and others might disagree. Its just I have found them best and other sites might be just as good for others.

There you go, contradicted already .

It was a financial thing and I was able to look back a year and see which of the 3 got less hits , for me it was ownersdirect. But again I'll say this was just me.

I hate making recomendations as these are just from my experience.

Quite right, Tom! BUT, unlike some other forums, here members can add a signature with a link in it from the day they join, and free, and without permission!

I'm not Janet but I can tell you how to do that . Go to UserCP at the top left of the home page then you will see options. One of them down the left is edit signature. Click on that and you can add your signature details there.

At the risk of being called Janet , go to user cp up on the top left and edit there.

Fixer, I'm always looking for ideas. Any help would be great. Lists etc.

Cheers
