log on to your PC from anywhere... even Tenerife!

I work for a company that operates 24 hours a day and 7 days days a week I regulary get phone call's, could be anytime of the day or night, saying the server has gone down or the links to the cutting tables are not working etc etc I usually have to go to the office or try and talk someone through the problem, which can be difficult if I've had a few vodkas But now my troubles are over i've been introduced to a web site so I can get onto the computer's in the office without leaving my house or my vodka It may be of help to some of the forum members, its a god send for me Take a peep

Just to mention - there are free alternatives available. Google 'VNC' and 'Remote Desktop Management' for details.

You have to be very careful when using this kind of software that you don't open up your computer to be messed up by 'hackers' (they don't really deserve the name; the scum )

Correct, however it's handy if you go away for a week and need access to work files...

Talking

be carefull with this as your computer maynot be as secure as your work system.

any computer remotely connected to your work system should have the same security measures as the work system.

you should also notify your administrator to limit access to only what you need to do.
