The recycle bin has disappeared from my desktop. How do I get it back?
unfamiliar as i am on a pc i,ve been a bit adventurous and decided to have a bash at changing the wallpaper as "they" sayfinally got to a screenface that i,m happy with, but the recycle bin has "recycled" itself, gone to that recycle place i know not of, any help out there? please, much appreciated

Right-click on the desktop, click personalize, and in the left pane, click change desktop icons. in the desktop icon settings dialog, enable the recycle bin checkbox. click OK. that should sort it out....

Do as Cin says, that'll sort it!

i know steve was used to the thing being in the bottom right corner, me muckin around and it went??? have tried control panel, personalize and had similar instructions that cinn just posted, lo and behold looks at my desktop and the flipping thing is on top of all the other,s in the left hand corner new specs order of the day thanks again cinn ahh well eh!! todays laugh a minute

I get bored with the same desktop wallpaper, so I wrote an application which changes it at intervals. Put it in the same folder as a load of images (jpgs or bmps)
It sits in the system tray. Right-click it and choose 'configuration' to choose another folder or change the inteval.

well all i can say is looking at where the bin was in the end made me laugh, there,s me pulling my hair out and wondering could i have done something wrong and what happens next ? glad bluemoon and margaretta got a chuckle out of it ,so did i, when i saw steve,m,s response( i,ll kill im)messin matetorrenter : should be the forum beginners teacher to all the mistakes we make, that would keep him off the golf course in the end thank you to all who made this thread get this far and all who added their thank you,s watch this space ?
