After catching a bad old off my husband who is now recovering, I have just stood in my kitchen for 15 minutes waiting for toast. He walked in asked what I was doing, subsequently stating it helps if you switch it on !!!!
Oh well never mind I said I have got an excuse - yes he replied its Wednesday, half day closing - talk about sympathy.
I have mentioned this very subject on here before... when men get the slightest sniffle they take to their bed and become very demanding... just like children..
The difference is el1369, your is a lady cold so you will carry on as normal. Now if you were lucky enough to have a man cold then you could lay on the sofa all day telling the world and his aunt how rough you feel and be waited on hand and foot

If you take to your bed he'll forget you're there and they always drop things in the kitchen and need endless instructions even when you've lost your voice etc. It is easier to keep on your feet and soldier on.... Sorry but they really don't think we have a right to be ill and they don't like to have their routine interrupted.
Just sneeze along, cope without sympathy and know that your reward will be .... a box of tissues and some cough sweets if you remind him several times.

What the difference between a very bad cold and flu? There is no medical definition of this but when I was nursing, a doctor gave me his theory, which I think is quite right.
He said to me, if you stand at your bedroom window and can see a fifty pound note on your front lawn and you go and get it, you have a bad cold!!!

Know the feeling... was rought as a badgers bum yesterday. The best cure is a very hot curry. A vindaloo, a big poo and you feel a million dollars!
I obviously know whata big poo is, but.. I'm afraid to ask what a vindaloo is!
