When do I need to change cambelt on my Clio Billabong?

Does anyone know when I should have cambelt changed, I am getting conflicting opinions on this

I have looked on the internet and can't find info.
It is a 2003 Clio Billabong with 41,000 Km on the clock.

hi, a lot depends on if it has ever been changed, like are you the original owner, have you a service history? if you were,nt, i,d say 25000miles from new then change the cam belt, so 41000km,s think time to get it done ! better safe than sorry hope this is of some help

Its reccomended to change cambelt on your clio every 30000 miles or 48000 kms Hope this of use as when they go it normally causes a far amount of damage.

I normally recommend 25000 for the sake of a few quid better than major strip down and HUGE bill.

Just taken my car to a local English garage so they could take it for ITV and so asked him to do it while it was there as like you say it is not worth the risk. He rang to say car was ready to collect and not to worry about cambelt for another year because he told me he had looked in Renault book and it says after 5 years or approx 60,000 Km
