| BA fined £121 million for colluding with Virgin Airlines on fuel surcharges BA has just been fined by the Office of Fair Trading for colluding with Virgin Airlines on fuel surcharges. BA could have been fined around £800 million for doing this, but were lucky to escape with a £121 million fine. Virgin are immune from prosecution as they blew the whistle on BA, but were as guilty of the offence. I don't think Virgin should be immune from a fine? What do you think? I also think that all those that paid excessive fuel charges as a result of the collusion should get their money back. BA will later today be fined by America too. |
