Is there really such a thing as a sixth sense in animals?

I've just come across THIS extraordinary story ... does anyone else have any tales of animals that just seem to know things ....... ??

God yes. For example we have been looking after a friend's dog whilst they were out of the country. At around 1pm this Sunday she went all weird on us and ran around like a raving lunatic (she is not a young dog and spends much of her day sleeping), her parents landed in Tenerife at 5pm, she knew they were on their way back. We didn't give anything away as we had not packed her stuff up, I was bringing her back on Monday morning. Weird huh?

I have just been reading about this story in the paper...
What an extraordinary cat....

They say that animals can sense things that we cannot.. dont want to get into anything deep here...
One thing I would like to say though is that if I was living there and the cat came near me I think I would be asking to be moved to another home

A lot of it is no doubt down to the particularly sharp senses (compared with humans) that animals have, but it can be really spooky at times!

Take a look at cats and dogs in general, when a person enters their environment they KNOW whether that person likes or dislikes cats/dogs.

Can you picture it? Everyone must watch that cat like a hawk to see whose room it goes into.

'Oh dear, look where Oscar's gone, poor old George must be for the off!'

Meanwhile old George is watching the approaching moggie with the sweat breaking out on his forehead!

In the seventies I was in a band and I had a cat.
Whenever I was on the way home, whatever time it was, the cat would be on the back garden wall 15 minutes before I arrived.
My wife always new I was coming home by then.
