Hi There,

After seeing so many people from the UK in this forum I thought that someone would be able to help...

My b/f and I are making our way from Vancouver, Canada to Tenerife and have to spend the night in London. I was wondering if anyone knows of any cheap hotels in downtown London or close to Heathrow Airport?

Any information would be of great help.

Thanks Videotalker. We have done lots of searches on the internet. We were more interested in places that people have already "stayed in". We don't want to stay in any place that is scuzzy or run down.

If your flight to Tenerife is leaving from Gatwick, consider the Premier Travel Inn. Five minutes walk from North Terminal, decent rooms, 62 pounds a night. The bus from Heathrow to Gatwick costs 16 pounds, but is free for BA passengers.

I stay there a lot.

Thanks for the info. We're arrving into London via Gatwick and going to Tenerife via Heathrow. We're going to check out the Premier Travel Inn to see if they are located at Heathrow.

If you are going into Gatwick try the Russ Hill Hotel I can personally recommend it, excellent food, wonderful grounds, helpful staff and lovely rooms.
Although the link is for a booking agency you can always get their phone number and ring them direct, and I think they will also collect you from the airport for a very small fee.

there may be some white apartments in santa cruz but watch out for the ones with italians in they are on our wanted list any info would be much appreciated
