Hi All,

I have been sea fishing in Los Cristianos during my 2 week annual holiday for the past 9 years and never gave it a thought that I would require a licence to fish. However, this year, the police booked several people at LC harbour for fishing without a permit and were fined 300 Euros for doing so. Luckily, I was not fishing at the time and escaped the punishment.

I asked one of the Policemen where to purchase a licence, but he was not able to help me, but suggested several places to visit to purchase one. After several hours of visiting local authority buildings, a polce station and an information centre, I gave up, but a local advised me that I would need to go to the north of the island to buy one. As it was my next to last day of my holiday, I gave it a miss.

When I return next year, I want to be able to fish legally, but don't particularly want to travel to the north to buy a licence and wondered if anyone can tell me where I can buy a licence in Los Cristianos or Las Americas or whether it is possible to buy one online.

I would be very grateful for any help and advice.

Hiya I've asked a friend for you and he say's if you go to the Information
centre in Los Christianos you can get a rod licence there .Not sure how much but about 12 euros ,you just need your passport.there are two, one for sea
fishing and one for fresh water . Hope this help's Linda
