Where can I download a free DVD decoder on the internet?
hi could someone let me know if there is a site which would let me download a dvd decoder free to put on my OH notebook as I bought him a external dvd disc player and it seems there is no decoder to play films with thank you by the way it,s windows xp

hi, rather than mess about with codecs, try this - VLC media player for Windows

it plays EVERYTHING you can throw at it. download, install and use instead of windows media player.

i was just presuming she meant codecs to play xvid/divx avi's? i hope that's what she meant!

The drive should have come with the codecs it is just a matter on choosing a player, which appears to have happened.
