I have Technomate satellite receiver hooked up to my laptop via a 9pin null cable & usb adapter (I don't have a 9pin port on my laptop). This worked fine on my old laptop running XP, but not on my new one running Vista?
When I run the program it doesn't find any available com ports, any ideas on how to get this working?

Thankfully my sis still has xp on her laptop so I've hooked that one up instead. The problem is my serial - usb connector has no vista support, my laptop did pick up the new hardware but installed it as a seperate com port to the ones the program wanted to use (please don't ask me to explain further cos I don't know).
Long term I'll need a new connector that has vista support but short term, my receiver is patched with the latest fw so once I've realigned my dish tomorrow we have free Showtime![]()
